Warranty
Due to circumstances and/or conditions that may be beyond our control, like but not limited to the current condition* (see below) of any given piece to be coated, refinished, or finished, the workmanship warranty for one month from the date of delivery.
Riverwood Refinishing endeavours to do finishing and refinishing that will last for years, but the company can't be held responsible for damage during customer installation or transportation, humidity change, or any misuse.
To sand out these deep imperfections would be removing the patina. We don’t believe in sanding out deep scratches or marks on the surface of the antique. Patina is everything that has happened to the piece of furniture in its lifetime. Excessive sanding can leave cup marks, or sand through veneers. If you have strong feelings about a scratch, a mark, a dent, please talk to us about it.
Current Conditions:
Contaminated by chemicals, foods, grease, ink or any item or liquid that may have penetrated the current finish and/or reached the wood or material, can shorten the lifespan of a new finish. Any contamination not seen by you and/or & Riverwood Refinishing. That would be beyond our control.
Original Workmanship: We are not responsible for any workmanship or physical defects present prior to receiving the product. Finishing a piece of furniture does slow down moisture exchange, and wood movement, but understand that wood will still move seasonally with the moisture conditions.
